Mothers spend so much time caring for other people that asking for help can feel unfamiliar—or even impossible. But when anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, or other challenges begin affecting your health and daily life, you deserve care that makes room for your needs, too.
Archway Behavioral Health provides outpatient mental health and addiction treatment for mothers and expecting mothers in Boca Raton, Florida. We support women during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and every stage of motherhood. Treatment is available for mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
Depending on your needs, care may include our partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), or virtual treatment. You do not need to know which program is right for you before reaching out. Our team can listen to what you are experiencing, complete an assessment, and help you understand the next step.
You do not have to wait until life feels unmanageable. Contact Archway Behavioral Health to learn whether one of our outpatient programs may be right for you.
Our program supports expecting mothers, postpartum women, new mothers, and mothers with children of any age. There is no single timeline for needing help. Some women experience symptoms during pregnancy or soon after giving birth. Others face mental health or substance use challenges months or years later.
This program may be appropriate if you:
You do not need a diagnosis before calling Archway. An assessment can help clarify what you are experiencing and whether outpatient care is the right fit.
Pregnancy and motherhood can bring meaningful changes, but they can also affect sleep, relationships, identity, responsibilities, and emotional well-being. Many mothers feel pressure to keep functioning even when they are struggling inside. Some worry they will be judged for needing help or believe they should be able to handle everything on their own.
Needing treatment does not mean you have failed as a mother. Mental health and substance use disorders are health conditions that deserve compassionate, professional care.
It may be time to seek support if you notice:
Treatment can help you understand what is happening, build practical coping skills, and begin moving toward greater stability.
Mental health concerns can develop before, during, or after pregnancy. They can also affect mothers whose children are much older. Archway provides structured mental health treatment for women whose symptoms are interfering with their health, relationships, work, parenting, or daily life.
Our team may support mothers experiencing concerns such as:
Care is personalized to the person, not based on assumptions about what motherhood should look or feel like.
Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring major emotional and physical changes. Some women notice new mental health symptoms, while others find that existing anxiety, depression, trauma, or mood concerns become harder to manage.
Archway offers outpatient behavioral health support for expecting and postpartum mothers whose needs can be safely treated through PHP, IOP, or virtual care. Treatment may focus on emotional regulation, coping skills, relationships, trauma, self-care, and adjusting to changes in identity and daily life.
A structured postpartum depression treatment program may be appropriate when symptoms are persistent, worsening, or affecting everyday functioning. Postpartum support may address concerns such as sadness, panic, irritability, intrusive thoughts, guilt, disconnection, or difficulty feeling like yourself.
Archway provides behavioral health treatment rather than prenatal or obstetric care. Expecting mothers should continue working with their obstetrician, midwife, primary care provider, or another qualified medical professional throughout treatment.
Mothers may use alcohol or drugs to cope with stress, exhaustion, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, or the demands of daily life. Others may have experienced addiction before becoming pregnant or becoming a parent.
Asking for help can feel especially difficult when you care for a child. You may worry about being judged, stepping away from responsibilities, or what treatment will involve. At Archway, the goal is to understand your needs and help you find an appropriate level of support.
Our addiction treatment services can help eligible mothers:
Pregnant women searching for drug rehab for pregnant women or rehab for pregnant women should know that different programs provide different levels of support. Archway offers outpatient behavioral health care. We do not provide prenatal care, residential treatment, or on-site medical detoxification.
Suddenly stopping alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids, or certain other substances can be dangerous, particularly during pregnancy. If medical stabilization or withdrawal management is needed, an appropriate medical or detox provider should be involved before outpatient treatment begins.
Mental health symptoms and substance use often reinforce one another. A mother may use alcohol or drugs for short-term relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, or exhaustion, only to find that substance use creates more stress and makes symptoms harder to manage.
Archway’s dual diagnosis treatment addresses mental health and substance use concerns through one coordinated treatment plan. This allows the clinical team to look at the whole picture instead of treating one concern while overlooking the other.
The right amount of support is different for each person. Archway offers several outpatient levels of care based on your symptoms, safety, responsibilities, and clinical needs.
Our partial hospitalization program is the most structured outpatient level of care available at Archway. Clients participate in treatment during the day and return home afterward.
PHP may be appropriate for mothers who need substantial support and frequent clinical contact but do not require 24-hour residential care. Because PHP involves a larger time commitment, it is important to plan for childcare, transportation, work, and other responsibilities during treatment hours.
Our intensive outpatient program provides structured care several times per week with more flexibility than PHP.
IOP may be a fit for mothers who need more support than traditional weekly therapy or who are stepping down from a higher level of care. The admissions team can explain the current schedule and what participation involves.
Our virtual treatment program allows eligible clients to receive care through a secure telehealth platform.
Virtual care may reduce transportation barriers and help some mothers fit treatment into their lives more easily. It is not the right choice for every situation, so placement depends on a clinical assessment.
Treatment begins with understanding you as a whole person. Your care plan may consider your symptoms, substance use, physical health, family responsibilities, relationships, support system, treatment history, and personal goals.
Depending on your needs, treatment may include:
Archway may use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and EMDR therapy when clinically appropriate.
The purpose is not to make you fit a standard program. It is to create a plan that responds to the concerns affecting your life now.
One of the most common barriers mothers face is figuring out how to attend treatment while caring for children, working, keeping appointments, and managing the household.
Outpatient care allows you to return home after programming, but it still requires time and consistent participation. Before you begin, the admissions team will explain the recommended level of care and current schedule so you can plan for transportation, childcare, work, and support at home.
IOP and virtual care may offer more flexibility than PHP when those options are clinically appropriate. You may also benefit from identifying a trusted partner, relative, or friend who can offer practical support while you focus on treatment.
You do not need to have everything figured out before calling. Getting started begins with a private conversation about what has been happening and what kind of help you may need.
The admissions process generally includes:
If Archway is not the appropriate fit, our team can help you understand why another level of care may be safer or more helpful.
Insurance may cover mental health and addiction treatment when services meet the plan’s requirements for medical necessity. Your exact benefits will depend on your policy, provider network, deductible, and recommended level of care.
Archway works with many PPO insurance plans and also offers self-pay options. Our team can verify your benefits and explain the information provided by your insurer before treatment begins.
