Depression is a mental health condition that can affect your mood and daily life. It can last beyond a difficult day and make ordinary activities harder to manage.
Some people feel sad or hopeless. Others notice numbness, irritability, or a loss of interest in things they used to enjoy. A professional assessment can help you understand what is happening and what support may help.

You may want support if you have noticed:
You can ask for help even if you are unsure whether your symptoms are depression. If getting through the day has become difficult, that is enough reason to reach out.
If you are in crisis: If you are having thoughts of suicide or need immediate emotional support, call or text 988. If there is immediate danger or a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Archway’s admissions line does not replace emergency care.
The right level of care depends on how symptoms affect your life, the support you have outside treatment, and what you have already tried. Our team assesses your needs and safety to help determine whether outpatient care is appropriate.
Our partial hospitalization program provides more intensive daytime support than IOP. It may be appropriate when depression significantly disrupts daily life and you need a consistent treatment routine, but do not require round-the-clock inpatient supervision.
Treatment brings together therapy, skills practice, and psychiatric care based on your plan. PHP may also help you continue recovery after a higher level of care.
Our intensive outpatient program offers structured support with fewer treatment hours than PHP. It may fit when weekly therapy is not enough, or when you are ready to step down from more intensive care.
IOP provides ongoing opportunities to work through challenges, practice coping skills, and apply what you learn between sessions. Our team can explain current schedules and help you consider how treatment fits with your responsibilities.
Unsure how much support you need? Reach out today. We can help you understand your options and what getting started would involve.
Your treatment plan should reflect what you are struggling with and what you want to change. At Archway, therapy and psychiatric care can work together to address symptoms and help you build routines, coping skills, and connections that support recovery.
| Treatment approach | How it may help | How it may fit into your care |
|---|---|---|
| Individual therapy | Gives you private space to discuss personal challenges and treatment goals. | Allows focused work on concerns that need individual attention. |
| Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) | Helps you work on unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. | May support practical changes when self-criticism, withdrawal, or avoidance affect daily life. |
| Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills | Builds skills for handling distress, emotions, and relationships. | May be incorporated when intense emotions or relationship difficulties are part of your needs. |
| Group therapy | Offers a setting for connection, shared learning, and coping-skills practice. | Provides support alongside others while you work toward individual goals. |
| Psychiatric care and medication management | Includes evaluation and medication support when appropriate. | A prescribing provider can discuss options, monitor your response, and address side effects. |
| Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) | Provides a trauma-focused approach to distressing experiences. | May be considered when trauma is part of the clinical picture, following assessment of your needs and readiness. |
Your team will discuss which approaches fit your goals. You may receive a combination of services; every person does not need every approach.
Depression does not look the same for everyone. Symptoms may occur in episodes, continue over time, or arise during pregnancy or after childbirth. Understanding your history helps guide treatment.
Bipolar disorder can also involve depressive episodes, but it requires a different treatment approach. Tell your provider about periods of unusually elevated mood, increased activity, or little need for sleep.
If depression occurs alongside alcohol or drug use, Archway’s dual diagnosis treatment can address both concerns together. Some symptoms require a higher level of care before outpatient treatment is appropriate.
Archway Behavioral Health is located at 7100 W Camino Real, Suite 402, Boca Raton, FL 33433. Our outpatient programs are an option for people seeking care in Boca Raton and surrounding communities, including Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach, Coral Springs, Highland Beach, and Parkland.

10 years in and out of treatment centers for alcoholism, and boy if I’d have known then that Archway was the key?! This time it wasn’t about recovery and trying to survive, it was about digging deep in a supportive and loving environment to process my yucky yesterdays with top notch professionals. Each staff member speaks not just from the textbooks but from their personal journeys of recovery and triumph! I walked (maybe crawled) through their doors - and through their warmth, genuine care, and compassion I was able to examine lifelong patterns that hadn’t served me well to explore and restore a HOPE I never thought possible. Whole-person, individualized care and gentle guidance. Drinking and drugging is a symptom. I was empowered to dig up the deep roots and get to the core. When I left, I was able to close the book on the ouchy and traumatic story I’d walked through and really Feel-Deal-Heal my inner self! NOW I feel equipped to begin my new story where I’m the heroine who took the much needed time to reset and recreate me. A new and improved wiser me that I’m even starting to… wait for it…genuinely value and LOVE! With my upmost gratitude to the GOAT treatment centers nestled in the heart of the recovery capital of the world! You’re doing EVERYTHING right Archway! Blessings!Posted on Google![]()

Coverage depends on your plan, the services recommended, and any authorization requirements. Your deductible, copayments, and coinsurance may affect your out-of-pocket cost.
Our team can help check your benefits and explain available coverage information before you make a treatment decision. Insurance verification is not a guarantee of payment, but it can help you understand what questions to ask and what costs to expect.
Have questions about paying for care? Reach out today or submit your insurance information so we can help you understand your benefits.
Call our admissions team to discuss your symptoms, ask questions, and learn about available care. You do not need a diagnosis or a polished explanation to start the conversation.
Our team will explain the assessment process, help review insurance benefits, and discuss program options. A clinical assessment helps determine the appropriate level of care.
If Archway is an appropriate fit, we will walk you through scheduling, paperwork, and what to expect when you begin. Your treatment plan can be adjusted as your needs change.
That is a reason to reassess your care. A more structured program may provide additional support, while a provider can also review other factors affecting your symptoms. Our team can help determine whether PHP or IOP may fit your needs.
Medication is not part of every treatment plan. A prescribing provider can discuss whether it may help, review your preferences and history, and explain potential benefits and side effects. Do not start or stop prescribed medication without speaking with your provider.
That depends on the program schedule and your responsibilities. PHP involves a greater time commitment than IOP. Ask our admissions team about current attendance requirements before deciding how treatment may fit with work or school.
There is no single timeline for everyone. The recommended length of care depends on your symptoms, progress, support needs, and treatment plan. Your team will review your progress and discuss next steps with you.
Yes. You can reach out when changes in your mood or daily functioning concern you. An assessment can help clarify what is happening and what care may be appropriate.
Your team can help plan continued support based on your needs. That may involve a less intensive program, ongoing therapy, psychiatric follow-up, or community resources. Planning the next step helps you maintain support as your treatment routine changes.
If depression has made everyday life feel harder, you deserve support that takes your experience seriously. You do not have to know which program you need before contacting us.
