Christopher Murphy

Christopher Murphy

Executive Director

Christopher has committed his life to making a difference in the healthcare industry. He has worked for various facilities and treatment centers, spearheading different operational, marketing and financial roles. Christopher works for two local nonprofit organizations whose goal is to increase access to vital resources for people with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Christopher is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, earning Summa Cum Laude honors for his degrees in Business Management and Digital Marketing. These academic achievements have led to his membership in the Phi Kappa Phi National Honors Society. Additionally, Christopher holds certification as a CF-L1 fitness coach.

Dr. Kate Smith

Clinical Director Kate Smith

Dr. Kate Smith is a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in the fields of mental health and substance use disorders. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Barry University through an accelerated program. Dr. Smith completed her Doctorate in Social Work (DSW), specializing in trauma-informed care and psychopathology.

Dr. Smith has served in a range of clinical and leadership roles across inpatient, outpatient, acute, and sub-acute treatment settings, with expertise in treating mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Her professional background includes experience as a therapist, clinical supervisor, consultant, speaker, and administrator.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Smith brings over five years of experience in utilization review (UR). She is well-versed in managing insurance authorization processes and remains current on payor network standards and medical necessity criteria. Her diligence in this area ensures that clients receive the appropriate length of stay and level of care necessary to support their treatment goals and long-term recovery.

Dr. Smith is deeply committed to providing consistent, high-quality care and advocates for both clients and families throughout the treatment process. She believes that a trauma-informed, individualized approach—supported by strong clinical and administrative systems—significantly enhances client outcomes and overall program success.

Dr. Denise Jonesy

Dr. Denise M. Josey, MD, MPH, MS, FASAM

Medical Director

Dr. Denise M. Josey is a highly accomplished physician with extensive expertise in addiction medicine, chronic pain, mental health, and primary care. She holds a primary board certification in Preventive Medicine/Public Health Medicine and has treated substance abuse and mental health disorders in diverse settings, including inpatient, outpatient, dual diagnosis units, and detoxification centers.

Dr. Josey has served in various capacities throughout her career, including as Chief Medical Officer at Paramount Medical Specialists and Medical Director at multiple institutions. She has a master’s level training in Human Nutrition, enabling her to provide holistic and comprehensive care.

Her commitment to the field is reflected in her numerous certifications, including board certification in Addiction Medicine and extensive involvement in community outreach and education. She is known for her compassionate approach, innovative treatment practices, and unwavering commitment to patient care.

Victoria Passarelli

Victoria Passarelli, LMHC

Clinical Supervisor

Victoria is one of our primary therapists at Archway Behavioral Health. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.  Victoria’s experience spans a diverse range of clients, including children, teens, young adults, elders, individuals on the autism spectrum, and those dealing with addiction. She is a firm believer that each individual who walks through the door will respond differently to certain treatment modalities. This is why Victoria tailors her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client, utilizing techniques such as mindfulness, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), solution-focused therapy, sand tray therapy and traditional talk therapy. What drives Victoria is “a genuine passion for helping others—something that became clear to me as early as my personal experiences with life’s struggles further fueled my desire to pursue a career in substance use and mental health.”
Madison brown

Maddy Brown, MSW

Primary Therapist

Maddy earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in Social Work and has worked in behavioral health since 2016. Her background includes experience as a psychiatric technician, unit coordinator, and therapist within a county jail, giving her the opportunity to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.

Maddy’s approach is supportive, practical, and collaborative. She incorporates TF-CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, behavioral activation, mindfulness, and grounding techniques while helping clients better understand their patterns and build skills that feel realistic in everyday life.

A belief that strongly guides her work is that activation precedes motivation. Maddy encourages clients to start with small, meaningful steps, even when they do not feel fully ready, and to build confidence through action. She values creating a space where clients can feel understood, challenged, and supported as they work toward meaningful change.

Mia Lindner

Mia Lindner, MSW

Primary Therapist

Mia Lindner holds a Master of Social Work from the University of West Florida and is a Florida Certified Addictions Counselor. She works with adults navigating mental health concerns, substance use, trauma, and life transitions.

Mia brings warmth, humor, and authenticity into the therapeutic space and believes in meeting people where they are while helping them recognize their strengths and create meaningful change. She values building genuine connections with her clients and creating a space where they feel supported, understood, and empowered.

Outside of work, Mia is a proud dog mom, avid beekeeper, and member of the Broward Beekeepers Association. She enjoys spending time with her dog Yuji, tending to her honeybee colonies, and connecting with nature.

 
 
 
Erin Rudolph

Erin Rudolph, C.A.C, MA

Program Director

Erin holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is also a Certified Addiction Counselor. After spending nearly 20 years in another career field, Erin changed her professional path in 2015, out of the desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

She began her behavioral health career as a Recreational Director in a detoxification center, where she discovered a deep passion for supporting individuals through recovery and healing. Driven by that passion, Erin continued her education and professional development to expand her ability to support clients experiencing substance use and mental health challenges.

Her experience includes working with individuals navigating addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, and other challenges that can interfere with living a fulfilling life. Erin believes that every individual is more than their diagnosis, past experiences, or struggles, and she strives to understand the person behind the challenges they are facing.

Erin is especially passionate about witnessing the transformation that occurs when individuals begin to find their voice, recognize their worth, and discover their authentic selves beyond their struggles.

Ben Schor

Ben Schor , NCPRSS

Director of Operations

Driven by a lifelong passion for helping individuals overcome addiction and mental illness, Ben brings years of dedicated experience in the behavioral health field to our team. Having worked across various addiction treatment settings, he understands the unique journey of recovery and the importance of meeting clients with empathy, dignity, and real solutions.

A graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Ben also holds certification as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS). This powerful combination of strategic communication and specialized recovery support fuels his dedication to expanding care and empowering individuals on their healing journey.

When he isn’t serving clients and supporting our mission, Ben expresses his passion through music—writing, recording, playing live shows, and touring with his bands.

Peter Marinelli

Founder/ President

Peter Marinelli has been sober himself for over 35 years and has dedicated his life to helping people who suffer from substance abuse and mental health disorders. Peter’s experience in the behavioral health field is impressive, and spans over multiple decades throughout the United States. Peter has started several spiritual immersion programs for different facilities, In 2018, he founded a nonprofit organization called The Archway Foundation to help those who experience financial barriers when trying to receive quality treatment. Peter is a published author and is a Certified Interventionist. He has given countless talks across the U.S and abroad, including television, radio, and podcasts about recovery and spirituality.

Marion Marinelli

Director of Business Development

Originally from Bellingham, Washington, Marion Marinelli has worked in the behavioral health field for nearly a decade where she has succeeded in many different roles. Marion has been sober since 1989. She has been heavily involved with her Church since her first days of recovery and has helped countless men and women on their paths to recovery and healing Her favorite phrase is “You can’t out give God” Marion strives to better herself and to be of service to those around her. Marion is one of the biggest reasons why Archway Behavioral Health is a uniquely special place!

Dr. Krista Bloom Ph.D, LCSW

Clinical Director

Dr. Bloom embodies kindness and compassion, yet she maintains a resolute demeanor as she offers supervision, guidance, training, intervention, and meaningful therapeutic services. Beyond her clinical role, she is a prolific author and co-author of numerous books, and she has shared her expertise on a global stage, addressing critical subjects like substance abuse, trauma, sexuality, and relationships. Furthermore, Dr. Bloom boasts specialized training in substance abuse, trauma, clinical sexology, and relationship coaching. Holding a Ph.D, she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. Dr. Bloom is also recognized as a Board Qualified Clinical Supervisor for Registered Clinical Social Work and Mental Health Counseling Interns. With over 20 years of experience, she has served as both a Clinical Director and a Licensed Therapist.

Scott Russell

Group Facilitator

Scott embarked on his journey of recovery and healing in 2016 and immediately developed a passion for helping others. He realized his gift for breaking down spiritual concepts and mental health recov4ry into a simplified and reachable way. Over the years, Scott was able to fine-tune his gifts for teaching in group facilitation and 1-on-1 life coaching. Scott uses his life experience to structure treatment approaches that include a variety of ways for individuals to find recovery. He provides the perfect blend of professionalism and unique personality that helps him push others to give themselves a shot at re-creating their life with Archway Behavioral Health.

Sam Harrelson , NCPRSS

Case Manager

Sam Harrelson is a Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist with five years of experience working in the substance use and mental health fields. Throughout his career, Sam has worked directly with individuals at various stages of recovery, providing support, guidance, and encouragement as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.

He is passionate about creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to take an active role in their recovery. Sam brings compassion, authenticity, and a person-centered approach to his work, helping individuals recognize their strengths, build healthy coping skills, and develop a strong foundation for continued growth and recovery.
